Fashion Show

Fashion show was finished on Apr 27th. However it's still fresh in my memory.
I went to the fashion show at 6 p.m with my friends.I had waited for a long time to see this performance because I was helping my classmates to wear the wonderful clothes and talking with them to scatter their dark clouds.The fashion show was taken place at the courtyard with an exquisite halfpace and the attractive curtain which was designed by both teacher and students. It was located in the open location in our school that audiences can even enjoy the performance on the second or third floor.
The performance was a big success.I really enjoyed the Fashion Show. The main part which impressed me a lot was the teachers' catwalk.All the teachers' clothes were designed by students gave me a pleasant surprise.That had received so much public praise and I also commended them for their enthusiasm.The audiences exclaimed with delight when teachers came out.Mr Harris wear a suit of retor clothes and looked like a handsome young man who had just graduated from the university.Miss Chu wear a light blue Bari Jay that made her look like a lovely cartoon character and she was so charming that boys under the stage were all shouting crazily.Miss Leung was dressed like a morden lady.The plain cloth made Miss Leung looked elegant.
Between the models,I think Tim was the most beautiful "girl" during show. Because he was the only boy dressed up as a charmful girl.Everyone was shocked when he used the steamed bun as bust.I shouted his name when he came out. His fame spread throughout the GCA after the show.
I think it was perfect because it provided the students with lots of opportunities to be creative and imaginative.It also gave them the chance to show their views to dress designing with the prevalent fashions.
I was engraved on my mind with this performance and also remembered the faces by heart.

Personal Health

On Apr 11th, I spend about 4 hours travelling by myself on the way to Jiangjun Road. It means, I rode my women's bike to Jiangning with a piece of map.

That was really a tough task for me, but I just accepted this challenge.Because there was a bicycle race and my friends from the junior middle school also took part in. So, I decided to go outside alone for building up a strong constitution and train regularly to keep fit. At 8.00 am, I was away from home and looked for the direction and fresh clues. I was lucky to study the map at night and have other sporter as my guide,then I found the route easily. However, I was too excited to get the right way and wanted to share this new with my friend at the same time.I spent my patient and vigour on the phone and did not pay attention to the place ahead, I fell to the ground because the bumps and hollows. I was injured in the knee.Also, my bike's basket became the safe gasbag and was out of the shape. I felt alive and insisted on the way to the Race Area.Because of the accident,I lost the last chance to join in the race and became an audience at that moment.Although I felt a little bit pity, I thought I was tempered through the rich process.During the relax time, I took a lot of pictures for the natural views and the energetic sports masters. That also enrich my mind with combatant spirits.

I enjoyed the travel by myself and was weary in body. I just pray that I can sleep like a log.

Piano Concert

On May 1st,I went to a piano concert by Shen Wenyu with Sarah at Nanjing Culture Art Centre.
Not long ago, a victory in Los Angeles came from the United States: Shen Wenyu, a 23-year-old Chinese man, by virtue of playing Rachmaninoff "Third Piano Concerto", one of the world International Piano Competition winner, and American Music Hall in Carnegie Recital Hall Music of winning. I was very interested in his play and deliver. When he was expressing different emotions with his clever hands, he infected the whole audience with his special artistic appeal.The flowing rhythm music just like the fresh air and the pure flavour suffused around us,I loved this feeling.During the break time,my friends and I were talking a lot about the performmance,we both thought that It was a big success and gave us enjoyment. When I listened attentively to play, I even could heard the free and easy, It was included the pianist's enthusiasm and inflexible to the determination.
I was attracted by his music.

Chocolate Cookies

On Apr 11th,I went to school for learning how to cook chocolate Cookies with my group member Cindy.

In the United States and Canada, a cookie is a small, flat baked cake. Cookies were first made from little pieces of cake batter that were cooked separately in order to test oven temperature. They can be baked until crisp or only long enough that they stay soft, depending on the type of cookie.Cookies are made in a vast variety of styles, using an array of possible ingredients including sugars, spices, chocolate, butter, peanut butter, nuts or dried fruits.

Our teacher is a friendly French girl, she taught us every step and details carefully.She also shared her achievements with us and asked for advice at the beginning of the cooking.We had some problems with the electromagnetic stove, because none of us knew how to use it even Miss.Hadley and it was also broken.So we had to change our plan, it meant use hand to crumb it, that was very bold and exciting.Then we put eggs into and agitated. After that, by adding flour and chocolate powder and continued to agitate, that made them got mixed well-distributed.It was almost finished, we just had to out of the cake-like in the baking tray and controlled the oven ’s temperature and time.

The product of our labours were a great success.We shared it with friends and parents.It is really enriched daily life with full of confidence.

This Saturday evening,I went to Mexican restaurant called "Tacos" with my parents near the GuangZhou Road.

The Mexican restaurant was particularly good and many people visit here. The environment and atmosphere here are comfortable. I think come here to enjoy the beauty is really exciting. Also, It is included the traditional Mexico food and coffee house.I think the level here is quite good, service is better than several other. For the things, the species-rich, excellent taste, where a comprehensive range, first-class tastes, the price was a little expensive on some. But still can be accepted. The coffee here is good,because it is the signboard. When you get close to it,you can easily smell the fresh . Are more demand for the respect of customers and more enthusiasm, there is the law of order. The decoration here was very fashionable and it is a shock to the vision.The pate and grilled wings were delicious, too.

I really enjoy it.

The Exhibition of Calligraphy

During March, Eleanor Sarah and I were going to see our alumni ‘s Calligraphy Exhibition together at Jiangsu Art Gallery.

Cheng Maoran is a student in Nannjing Foreign Language School.It is her third time to hold personal Calligraphy Exhibition.In fact, two-year-old she began learning from books, whether heat the cold of winter or the holidays, school work completed while she was learning calligraphy. When she was seven years old, she went to Japan and South Korea to participate in the exchange of communication.Her first and second Calligraphy Exhibition was at primary school and junior high school in the time of graduation.There were nearly a hundred pieces of calligraphy works with different styles, and it had attracted hundreds of parents and art lovers to visit. At that time,she also became an apprentice to a famous artist called Zhao Xucheng, because the artist wanted to point her book learning.

When I was standing in front of the middle hall "Hou De Zai Wu" ,the four giant Chinese characters,I felt a little bit surprised because this natural words were writted by a plain girl ’s hand.The staff explained to us, " This is a huge number of characters, she could not write on the table, she could only write to stand facing the wall. she wrote an entire week to write it, since they were written several times worse, write a tear, tear write another ... ".So, from this words, I could see her tenacity and love.Her art work "Chu Shi Biao" is nearly 100-meter-long, 2.5-meter-high,it will be built in Guangdong. But the most rare thing is that when she was learning from the books,she also made processes in learning to strengthen understanding the study of country,and improved her own self-cultivation.

Now, there are about 200 students study calligraphy at Nanjing Foreign Language School. Not necessarily, they have a variety of interests and hobbies.The Art Gallery uninterrupted for students organized by various art exhibitions and practiced calligraphy alone.Cheng Maoran is the best of them.But this is only an interest in their hobbies, their lives are rich, then improve their quality of literacy.

Clubs

As a GCA student, I took part in the Volunteer Club and Dancing Club.

Volunteer, It means committed to free, free of charge for social progress, and contribute our efforts. Our duty is to take care of the stray animals and improve the relations between humans and animals. Badminton Match

On Dec.21st, I took part in the GCA Badminton Match. I was very excited when I entered the venues. There were many teachers and students sitting on the seats and they had a chat with others about the match. Volunteers helped us to have tickets checked and preserve order in the place with warm heart. I lost one game at the beginning, but I adjusted my mentality and had an optimistic view of event, also because of my friend's encourage, so I won the third at the last.
